چکیده

BackgroundZirconia is a relatively new dental material used for indirect restorations. Little known about how practitioners are using this in their practice.MethodsA survey on zirconia restorations was developed and administered electronically through e-mail communications to the American Dental Association Clinical Evaluators (ACE) Panel August 31, 2020. Reminders were sent nonrespondents, closed 2 weeks after launch date.ResultsWhen restoration, respondents choose it restore natural teeth (99%) more often than implants (76%). Almost all (98%) use posterior crowns, whereas approximately two-thirds (61%) anterior crowns. Restoration removal or replacement shade matching translucency top cited disadvantages of zirconia, most (57%) flexural strength fracture resistance as biggest advantage. Fine diamonds ceramic polishers polish adjust restorations, coarse diamond rotary instruments those made specifically frequently removing these Compared with metal 50% experience debonding restorations.ConclusionsDentists recognize favorable properties similar techniques when adjusting material. Removing struggle many.Practical ImplicationsDentists may benefit from tips best methods remove, match, adhesively bond

Effect of Zirconia Thickness on the Tensile Stress of Zirconia Based All-Ceramic Restorations

Introduction: The purpose of the presented study was to evaluate the effect of zirconia thickness on the tensile stress of zirconia based all-ceramic restorations. Methods: Twenty zirconia disks with 10mm diameter were prepared in two groups using CAD/CAM system. The thickness of zirconia was 0.5mm in first group and 0.3mm in second group. After sintering, 0.4mm glass ceramic porcelain was appl...
